Marketing advice for dog trainers

dog and chalkboard with marketing 101 witten on chalkboardMarketing has a lot in common with dog training!  At its core is understanding what makes people tick, and tapping into this to gain the desired behaviour –  such as signing up for your dog training classes or behaviour consultations.

It also shares a fair number of ‘arm chair experts’ who (just like dog training) are happy to provide marketing advice.  Whilst it is often well-meaning, it isn’t necessarily the best advice and may end up costing you time and money which could be spent more effectively elsewhere.

Practical marketing that works

As a fellow dog trainer and behaviourist (who just happens to be an experienced and qualified marketing communications professional as well), I understand the pressures of promoting a dog business in a competitive marketplace and the need for practical, cost-effective marketing activities that work.

I practice what I preach, and have built my dog business – Happy Hounds Dog Training & Behaviour – using proven marketing methods and some ‘quick and dirty’ tools on the way.
